Ireland COSAC Connect Melbourne

Broadcasting Live From Killashee Hotel - Naas, Ireland

COSAC Chairman, David Lynas, reports on COSAC's Virtual Venue for 2021...

These are challenging times and as we cannot guarantee that restrictions will be fully released for travel, meetings, meals, and networking events, COSAC 2021 will run as a one-off fully virtual event.

A combination of Crowdcast (our virtual conference platform used so successfully for COSAC Connect), live broadcast from a beautifully constructed studio at our spiritual home Killashee Hotel, and our special lunchtime and after-session networking platform, will bring the culture and atmosphere of an in-person COSAC to a virtual format for 2021.

While extremely disappointed that the COSAC Community cannot meet in person this year and we cannot run our fully residential event, every cloud has a silver lining: the move to a virtual format provides a one-off opportunity for those who have not yet had the chance to attend in-person to experience the flavour and quality of COSAC at a much more accessible price point.

Also, after the most competitive Call-for-Papers ever, more than 80 session proposals did not make the original agenda, but the virtual format also allows us to deliver the bonus of more sessions, more speakers and more choice. COSAC 2021 in virtual format will feature 62 speakers from 15 countries on 5 continents, presenting an expanded choice of 60 conference sessions, 2 keynotes, and 3 special sessions (COSAC Immersion, COSAC Intense & COSAC Instant) that reflect the COSAC value and style.

I greatly look forward to welcoming you to our virtual venue for COSAC 2021.

Best wishes

David Lynas, COSAC Chairman
